More generous with free power-ups, less aggressive monetization, and more creative levels. Royal Match is what Candy Crush should have been. Made the switch and never looked back.
Power-ups feel earned not purchased
The game gives you enough free boosters to progress without feeling pressured to buy. When I do get stuck its usually strategy not paywall. Fairer design.

The meta-game of decorating the castle gives purpose to solving puzzles beyond just level numbers. Working toward something visible is more satisfying.
