Good for Indian food tracking
HealthifyMe is the best option for tracking Indian food. The database has tons of Indian dishes with accurate calorie counts. The AI coach is hit or miss. Interface is okay but gets cluttered.
Best for South Asian diets
Finally an app that knows what roti, dal, and paratha are. The Indian food database is comprehensive. The calorie tracking for Western food is less impressive. Best if you eat primarily South Asian cuisine.
Coach feature is overrated
The AI coach sounds smart but gives generic advice. The human coaches are better but expensive. The food tracking for Indian cuisine is genuinely good though. Worth it for the database alone if youre Indian.
Indian food database is excellent
No other app comes close for Indian food tracking. HealthifyMe knows the difference between jeera rice and plain rice, between butter chicken and chicken curry. This level of specificity matters for accurate tracking.
Good but expensive premium
The free version is decent for basic tracking. Premium with coach is expensive and the coaching quality varies wildly. The food database is the main attraction. Use the free version and save your money.
Decent for Indian users
If youre in India or eat Indian food regularly, this is probably your best bet. The database is tailored to South Asian cuisine which is unique. The app itself is average - works but nothing special.
Too many upsells
The app constantly pushes you to buy coaching plans and premium subscriptions. Gets annoying fast. The food tracking is decent for Indian food but the aggressive monetization ruins the experience.
Good database, average app
The Indian food database is genuinely impressive. Everything else is just okay. The interface is a bit cluttered, the AI coach is basic, and features outside of food tracking are mediocre. But for Indian food logging its #1.
Decent overall
HealthifyMe fills a real niche for Indian food tracking. The general features are average but having accurate data for dal, sabzi, biryani etc is invaluable. Wish the non-food features were better.
My mom loves it
Recommended HealthifyMe to my mom because she cooks all Indian food. She loves it because she can find every dish she makes. The Hindi language support is also great. Finally an app she can actually use.
Step tracking is good too
Beyond the food database, the step tracking and workout features are solid. Not best in class but competent. The whole package is decent for an all-in-one health app targeting Indian users.
Mixed bag
Love the Indian food database. Dislike the pushy premium upsells. The AI is basic. The interface is okay. The community features are nice. Its a 3 star app with a 5 star food database.
Coach wasnt helpful
Paid for the coaching plan and was disappointed. Generic meal plans, delayed responses, and advice I could find on Google. The food tracking app itself is fine for Indian food but the coaching isnt worth it.
Good for what it is
HealthifyMe serves the Indian market well. The food database is its killer feature. Everything else is average. If you eat mostly Indian food this is your best option. Otherwise look at global alternatives.
Niche but effective
Its a niche app for a specific audience and it does that well. Indian food tracking is excellent. General nutrition tracking is mid. The coaching is overpriced. Know what youre getting into.
Finally someone gets Indian food
After years of trying to track Indian food on MFP with wildly inaccurate entries, HealthifyMe is a revelation. They actually have verified nutritional data for Indian dishes. Thank you.
Okay app, great database
The app is okay - not great, not terrible. But the Indian food database is exceptional. I use it specifically for logging Indian meals and a different app for everything else. Works for me.
Needs more features
Good foundation with the Indian food database but needs to add modern features like AI photo recognition and better micronutrient tracking to compete with international apps. Potential is there.
Regional champion
HealthifyMe is the regional champion for India and South Asian countries. Outside that market it cant compete with global apps. But for its target audience its genuinely useful and fills a real gap.
Too many bugs lately
Recent updates have introduced a lot of bugs. App crashes when logging meals, data sync issues, and the water tracker keeps resetting. The food database is still good but the app stability needs work.
