Security without the hassle
Watchtower alerts me whenever a password appears in a breach. The auto-fill across Safari and Chrome is seamless. I genuinely feel safer online since switching to 1Password.
Family sharing is a lifesaver
Set up my parents and kids with their own vaults plus a shared family vault for Netflix, WiFi passwords, etc. Managing everyone's credentials from one place is incredibly convenient.
Best password manager but pricey
At $36/year it's not cheap, especially when Bitwarden exists for free. But the polish, UX, and features justify it for me. You get what you pay for in security software.
Travel mode is underrated
Being able to remove sensitive vaults when crossing borders and restore them after is a feature I didn't know I needed. For international travelers this is peace of mind.
Passkey support works great
The passkey integration is smooth. Logging into sites with biometrics instead of passwords feels like the future. 1Password is ahead of competitors on passkey adoption.
Browser extension could be faster
The desktop browser extension sometimes takes a beat to pop up suggestions. Not a dealbreaker but when Bitwarden's extension is instant, you notice the lag.
Price keeps going up
First it was $3/month, now it's effectively $4+. Each year they add features I dont need and raise the price. Would prefer a simpler cheaper tier for basic password management.
Switched from LastPass never looked back
After the LastPass breach I moved everything to 1Password. The migration tool worked decently and the overall experience is leagues ahead. Should have switched years ago.
Secure notes and documents too
I store passport scans, software licenses, and secure notes alongside passwords. Having one encrypted vault for all sensitive data simplifies my digital life considerably.
Face ID autofill is seamless
Glance at my phone and passwords fill automatically. The Face ID integration on iOS is flawless. Opening the app feels instant and secure at the same time.
Works everywhere I need it
Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android, browser extensions for every major browser. True cross-platform support means I'm never without my passwords regardless of device.
Two-factor codes built in
Storing TOTP codes alongside passwords means one app handles both. No need for a separate authenticator app. Copy-paste the code right after the password autofills.
Team features for small business
Our 15-person company uses 1Password Teams. Shared vaults for different departments, admin controls, and activity logs. It replaced a spreadsheet of passwords and I sleep better now.
Importing was a pain
Moving 400+ passwords from Chrome took multiple attempts and some entries came over garbled. The import process needs serious improvement. Once set up it's great though.
Clean design makes it approachable
Security software is usually ugly and confusing. 1Password looks good and is intuitive enough that my non-tech wife uses it without complaint. Design matters for adoption.
SSH key management is a bonus
As a developer, storing and using SSH keys through 1Password is fantastic. Biometric unlock for SSH connections streamlines my workflow significantly.
Solid password generator
The built-in password generator with customizable length, symbols, and memorable options makes creating strong unique passwords effortless. No more reusing passwords.
Customer support responds quickly
Had an issue with sync between devices and support resolved it within hours via email. For a security product, responsive support matters. Impressed with the turnaround.
Masked email addresses integration
The Fastmail integration to create masked email addresses directly from 1Password is brilliant. Unique email per signup means no spam to my real inbox.
Worth every penny for peace of mind
1Password is one of the few subscriptions I never question renewing. Knowing all my credentials are encrypted and accessible only to me is worth far more than $3 a month.
